ISTA Welfare Benefits Plan and Trust (a/k/a, "The VEBA")The ISTA Welfare Benefits Plan and Trust (a/k/a, "The VEBA") is a tax-qualified voluntary employees’ beneficiary association trust that accumulates assets on a tax-free basis for the purpose of reimbursing medical claims, paying medical insurance premiums, and such other permissible VEBA benefits, as are more fully described in the VEBA materials. The ISTA is the sponsor of the VEBA, but has contracted with Security Benefit for administrative and investment services for the VEBA program.
