Web formatted logos (.jpgs, .gifs) are in the RGB color space, so there may be a slight but acceptable variation in the red and blue hues as it is impossible to match PMS colors on the web or on color desktop office printers. A four-color process (cmyk) version of the logo looks just like the two-color logo - red and blue, although with a slightly less vibrancy than it's pms counterpart. As a rule of thumb, the .eps format of the logo should be used for projects being commercially printed as it will yield the highest level of detail. The .jpg format of the logo is acceptable for internal printing, power point presentations, or web usage. Never use different colors for the logo, even if you think it would "match" better with your particular job. Sometimes, you may need to use the logo in just one ink color in your publication. If that is the case, the logo should be all black or reversed out in all white. While not preferred, it is also acceptable to use the logo in all blue (PMS 280) if the other text and items in the piece also use only that color. Never let the logo come into contact with other elements on the page. An invisible boundary (clear space) should be kept around the logo. It is equal to approximately 1/2 the width and half the height of the logo. Example: if the logo is used at a 1" width, the clear space on all sides of it should be at least 1/2".
