What It Is:
ISTA FSP Insurance Trust relies on two providers, Vision Service Plan (VSP) and Spectera, with caring for the vision of its members. Both companies rely on networks of specialists and retailers to provide eye care wellness and products. The benefits are intended to encourage you to maintain your vision through regular eye exams and to help with vision care expenses.

How It Works for You:
Your benefits under the Vision plan are described in two ways: first, the frequency of your benefits which means how often you are eligible to receive them and, second, the level of benefits, which means what portion of the costs are covered.

There are two ways you can access your vision benefits. You can get the covered services from a network provider or, if you wish, you can use a provider who does not participate in the network. Those providers that are part of a network enter into a contract with either company that establishes certain care standards and fee levels. By obtaining your covered services and materials from a participating provider, you maximize the benefits of your plan.

Examinations and materials will be provided in accordance with the benefits chosen by your employer. Depending on your policy and the provider you selected, the examination and eyewear materials may be paid in full through the plan or have a co-pay. Discounts or maximum charges may apply.
