Any new, first-time ISTA FSP member who is starting their first assignment in a school corporation is eligible for a Professional Assistance Loan. Veteran educators are eligible for this benefit if they are new to a school and a new ISTA member.

Th interest free $1,000 loan enables new or seasoned professionals the opportunity to purchase necessary items or services related to professional needs. Among the items that loan funds can be used for, although not inclusive, are classroom supplies, computers and related equipment.

To qualify for the Member Loan Program, participants must:

• Join ISTA FSP or an affiliate for two consecutive years. Repay the loan in 12 months via payroll deduction, and
• Donate 30 hours to the ISTA FSP or its affiliate during the second year.

The time will be spent performing tasks for the Association and will vary depending on the type of assistance needed.
